Haircut Time

Today we had Taegan's hair cut for the first time. We were hoping he would do okay, but he did NOT! He screamed throughout the entire process! The only reason it turned out so great is because Bruce is so good at what he does. Oh well... at least it is done. Maybe it will be better next time?

Here we go... He didn't even like having the cape put on!!

Nope, still doesn't like it!

We took the cape off - didn't help!

It was about this time, I asked Don to put the camcorder down and help me hold him still. He is a very strong little guy!

Here he is after it was all over. Not happy and very red from all the screaming! What a sad face!

Bruce gave him a piece of candy and it didn't seem to help. =(

This morning when the girls found out that Taegan was going to get his haircut, they decided they wanted their haircut too. I was shocked! Neither Madison or Lily would let me even trim their hair, so it was a complete surprise that they wanted it cut. Lily had a couple inches cut off hers and Madison had around 5 inches cut off hers. She was tired of her hair always being in her face, so I hope this helps! Here they are, just like big girls!

And here they are when it was all done. What an exciting Saturday!

Hoedown Throwdown!!

Madison's Upward cheerleading squad performed this dance last Saturday during half-time. I thought it turned out really cute and she had so much fun!!

Cheerleading!!

It is that time again. Upwards Cheerleading time!!! Madison was so excited for the games to start again so she had a chance to cheer. She loves everything about it - the tumbling, the dancing, the outfits!! Don and I are really happy with her coaches and how organized and devoted they are for such young girls. These are pictures from her first game last Saturday. I will update with a video next week. (They are doing a halftime dance and I'm sure it will be cute!)

Taegan...

This is how I found Taegan one day last week. He apparently had backed into the lazy susan in our kitchen and then tried to sit down and got stuck! He wasn't making any noise, he was just sitting there. I saw him and started toward him to let him out, but then stopped. I had to find my camera and take a picture of him. He just looked so pathetic. One sock on, and one off - just sitting there with a sad look on his face. So I left the kitchen and found my camera, came back and took his picture. What a silly boy!!!

Snow Day Fun!!

Last week when Madison had a snow day, the girls convinced Daddy that they "needed" to go outside and play in the snow. Mommy thought it was too cold, but what do I know! So, Don bundled them up and out they went. I think it took around 20 minutes to get them ready and they were probably outside for about 5-10 minutes max. Don did get some great pictures though, so I had to post them!!

Disney on Ice

The day after Thanksgiving, after getting up at 3:00 am to go shopping and not getting home until 4:00 pm, we loaded Madison, Lily, Don, myself and my mom (a.k.a. Nana) up in the van and headed off to Disney on Ice. The girls had such a great time and loved every minute!! Here they are in their matching Gymboree (of course!!) before the show started, posing in front of the castle on the ice rink.

We had GREAT seats, just a few rows up and right in the center. Plus, as an added bonus, we got to sit right behind the Ross and Myers families too. Here is a picture of Madison, Nana, Lily and me before the show. Taegan stayed home with Papa and Granny. We weren't sure if he would be able to sit through the whole performance. Sitting still isn't one of his specialties.

The girls favorite part was, of course, all the princesses, but they really enjoyed the whole show. When they come back I'm sure we will go again and this time, maybe Taegan can come too!

Santa Picture Time

The day before Thanksgiving we took the kids to Centerpiece Photography for their annual Santa pictures. I knew ahead of time that Taegan probably wouldn't do great, but I was hoping...

As always, the girls were so excited and had already planned out what they were going to ask Santa to bring them. Madison asked Santa for a Barbie laptop. I can't believe how grown up she is looking!

Lily was very excited too. She is looking so big. I can't believe my baby girl is 4!! Lily first asked for a "Santa beard" from Santa, but then changed to "flowers". I'm not sure where either of these ideas came from, so I guess we'll see what Santa does with that!

Taegan... well, Taegan didn't like Santa this year. He loved him last year and seemed excited when he was watching the girls talk to him, but not so much when it was his turn. This is what he looked like...

He did eventually calm down and we got some cute pictures of him with Santa sneaking in from behind. I can't believe he is 18 months old now! What a cutie and I love the blond hair!!!

This was one of the few good pictures we got of all 3 kids and Santa. Again, poor Santa had to be out of Taegan's view point, but at least we got a decent picture. I'm not sure that Taegan ever told Santa what he wanted, so let's just hope Santa remembers him on Christmas!!
